His interest in the performing arts began in his teens. He tried stand up comedy when he was in his early 20s. While his stand-up comedy was not successful it helped to open the way for his acting. Through his work, he came to discover that he would like to appear present on camera. After landing a job on television, he appeared in many seasons of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. His talent as an actor made him popular in television. With great ambitions, he began a career in film and was a household name in comedy roles. His fame was further elevated after he was praised for his performance as Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. As time passed, he grew as an actor and also ventured into production and direction. For his role in Birdman (2014) the actor received numerous awards and nominations.
